 SoCCSKSarGen is an acronym that stands for the following provinces and one of its cities: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. Region XII or SoCCSKSarGen is located in central Mindanao and covered a total land area of 22,466 km2 with a total number population of 3,829,081 (as of 2007). |

 Region XI or Davao Region is also referred as Southern Mindanao is mainly occupied the southeastern part of the Mindanao. Davao Region compiles of four provinces namely; Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Oriental Davao. It covers a total land area of 20,244 km2 and has a total population of 4,156,653 (as of 2007). |

 Northern Mindanao is assigned as Region X in the Philippines and composes of five provinces namely; Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, and it covers a total land area of 20,132 km2 with a total number population of 3,952,437 (as of 2007). |

 Region IX or Zamboanga Peninsula is also known as Western Mindanao before the Executive Order No. 36 was pass on Spetember 19,2001 is an administrative region in the Philippines. It consists of four provinces namely; Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay and Tawi-tawi which once is part of Sulu. The region has a total land area of 21,051.1 sq. km., and a total number population of 3,230,094 (as of 2007). Western Mindanao got a total number of 5 Cities, 67 Municipalities, and 1,904 Barangays. The City of Pagadian is the regional center. |

Eastern Visayas or Region VIII is another region in the Philippines that hasn’t no land edge like the other one the MIMAROPA has also no land boundary. Eastern Visayas has a land area of 21,431.7 km2, 52% of its total land area is a forest land, while the 48% is disposable land. The region got a total population of 3,912,936 as of 2007. Region VIII compiles of 6 provinces namely; Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte. |
